small motifs

I've been designing and stitching small blackwork motifs for the past few months.  
               
                         

These motifs are stitched on 14ct aida with anchor floss.

    there is something very pleasing about blackwork or anything stitched in a single colour yours look very pretty

    I haven't done much blackwork, but I find it a bit tiring for my eyes to do. Your results, though, are very attractive. Is it the simplicity of colour, that allows us to better see the details of the design, that makes it enticing?
