But things are about to change because I've finally managed to come out of a certain kind of block and am back with a newly found energy. So from now on I'll be an active blogger and share my stitching journey with y'all.
Before I sign off let me show my current tatting project.

lace

I had to switch back and forth from shuttle to needle tatting for the past couple of days.Even though it was an interesting experience I'd prefer to stick to one technique at a time. The biggest challenge while switching is to get the tension correct.

shuttle tatted lace in progress for a lil' girl.

lace and motifs

I had spent most of the evenings in April/May to tat 10 meters lace with #20 thread...My wonderful seamstress friend was very happy to receive it.

I made a couple of motifs too :-)

I was working on different laces this week.I've finished drafting the pattern and chosen the colors for my next embroidery project.

Tatting lace with #20 thread and a shuttle for a friend..The pattern is from an old Coats and clarke book.

Crochet doily with #10 cotton thread..these motifs are a part of doily pattern from an Ondori book.

I've finished the knitted lace doily that you saw last week and it's not blocked yet so will show you the entire doily later.

Centerpiece with tatted edging

I’d tatted this edging sometime back but totally forgot about it. When this one fell on my lap while cleaning my space I felt really bad L.May be I should keep a record of all my UFO’s…

I had a cotton fabric piece in my stash which suited the size of this edging.

I crocheted one row of chain and clusters on top of the tatted edging, blocked and hand stitched it to the fabric. The pattern is from an old J&P Coats tatting book.
I love runners /centerpieces with tatted/crocheted edgings J and am happy that another UFO is finished.

Happy stitching!

Tatting

Hi!

I'd like to share these images of a saree with you all.
I'd attached a tatted border/edging and some motifs to a crepe saree.

A saree is five and a half meters long & 44 - 48 inches wide.
So I'd to work approximately 9 mts edging/border & 30-40 motifs.

I'll show you all the updates and another new project (Indian embroidery) which I'd started this week
in my next post.

Happy stitching!

Anita.
