warp n weft

I've always wanted to learn weaving on a loom but it didn't happen until now. I'm so happy that my wish has come true this year. Some of the samples I've made so far..

I've knitted some more rounds and the aster doily looks like this as of now..

Only twelve more rounds to knit so it's so close to the finish line.

Happy stitching!

a little progress

I've spent little more time to knit the aster doily this week.

After knitting some more rounds with the dpns I've changed it to a circular needle and so far I've knitted about 50 rounds and there are about 350+ stitches in the needle right now.

Also added a few more stitches to the blue and white x stitch piece.A couple of stems and buds are there now and the big rose is almost over except for a couple of stitches on the left.

Happy stitching!

blue threads and more laces..

I'm working on the roses and leaves inside the inner frame of the blue/white cross stitch project and this is where it is right now.

Also started a knitted aster doily from McCall's needlework treasury book. It's a round doily and I've finished about 1/3rd of the doily

I've crocheted some laces too ..the white lace is attached to a towel and the bands are for a pillow.

Both the patterns are from Ondori lace book.
A foggy view from my balcony :-)

I took this photo yesterday morning around 8 and the photo below was taken few months back from the same angle..
I've transferred the pattern onto the fabric for a new crewel embroidery project..more on that next time.
Happy stitching!

I was working on different laces this week.I've finished drafting the pattern and chosen the colors for my next embroidery project.

Tatting lace with #20 thread and a shuttle for a friend..The pattern is from an old Coats and clarke book.

Crochet doily with #10 cotton thread..these motifs are a part of doily pattern from an Ondori book.

I've finished the knitted lace doily that you saw last week and it's not blocked yet so will show you the entire doily later.

lace …

I hadn't posted anything here for almost a month. Not that I was lazy or anything but I didn't feel like writing about the new projects until now …

I had finished a couple of UFO's, pieced few blocks for a quilt, started a new crochet and knitted doily and did some basic sketches for another new pattern.
Here is my new lace doily..

I'm using knitting cotton and dpn's # 12 for this lace.

Test stitching for the online beginner cutwork class project is being done right now. Drop me an e-mail if you are interested in this class..will send you the details as soon as I've finalized the class date.

See you next week with my new WIP's. Have a fun weekend!

Happy stitching!
