Bunnies in the garden

I've made some progress in the 'bunnies in the garden' project.
Last time when you saw this I'd finished the fruits and few leaves. Now I've completed all the leaves, the tree with stem stitch filling, grass with straight stitch, flowers with blanket stitch, part of the ladder with stem stitch and the basket with woven and rope stitch.

I'm spending a lot more time than I'd planned on each element of this project because of it's size. The basket is little more than ½ cm and the flowers are 3mm across.
How do you handle a small/miniature project ? Please do share your experience..

Happy stitching!
Anita.

First project of the year

I've finished my first project this year :-)
It's a black kurti/tunic with white embroidery.I wanted a very simple pattern and happy with the result. The fabric was little slippery so I had to spend some extra time for the garment construction/sewing part.

The fabric is Italian crepe and the embroidery is done with Anchor stranded cotton thread.

We had a very misty morning today.A view from my balcony at noon while I was happily doodling/sketching a new pattern….

am back…

I've not shared any of my wip's with you all for quite some time now. I was busy with the weddings and my brother was here for holidays. So I could not spend much time on my personal stitching. Also many of you girls know that I have bronchitis and it becomes little bad during winter.
To add to all of the above my dad had an accident and he had to undergo surgery to fix all the fractures. He is okay now but needs physiotherapy and some time to recover fully.

Here is a little eye-candy for you all…

This project is coming along well and it's for a class I will be teaching next year.
Next time I'll show you a small chikan embroidery project with a couple of new stitches.

Wishing y'all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Happy stitching!

Anita
