Finished another project

Hi !
I’d like to share another project which was a slow WIP. It’s a long runner which was stitched by me and my mother. My mother had stitched the center part and I did the border around the central panel and the fringes.

To complete those fringes took a very long time than I’d anticipated because I’d had to count, remove threads and gather them to make a fringe. I’m very happy that I’ve finished it now J.
I guess to fall sick has some advantages too..I’m completing projects rather than starting or planning new ones ..
Have a happy weekend!
Happy stitching!
Anita.

Your table runner looks wonderful and how nice that you have something that both you and your mom worked on together! My mom does some stitching and sewing but we've never collaborated on anything. Not yet anyways. :)

Thanks Leela and Jenny.
Jenny,You girls should try doing some project together and see if you like it.We(me and my mom')enjoy stitching and doodling together..Surprisingly our stitch tension is exactly the same even in crochet :)

Beautiful! My mom used to embroider, sew etc when I was a kid but she was and is always busy. Now, she's more into gardening, looking after the farm so there's no time for her to embroider.Wish I'd seen more of her embroidery projects.

Thanks Ina.Unfortunately even I don't have many of my mother's beautiful pieces(bedspreads, tablecloths etc).To keep those pieces with us was impossible while we were living in a big joint family set up,the sad part is many of those pieces have ended up with people who doesn't know the value, doesn't even care to appreciate the work ..

Anita this is such a beautiful piece and how special that you and your mother both worked on it. Sorry to hear you have been having health problems. Your completed lace items in the last post are also really pretty.

Che bel lavoro!!!! Ottimo il risultato di un lavoro di coppia, credo che sia una grande gioia per una mamma e una figlia creare dei lavori insieme: c'è tanto amore. Baci
