Stitch tutorial - Magic blanket stitch

I'd like to share a very simple but pretty stitch called 'magic blanket stitch' with y'all.
This stitch is also known as blanket stitch-lightening.

Step – 1 : Thread the needle with two color threads and come up at 'a'. Make a blanket stitch with color A under the needle as shown.

Step – 2 : Make a second blanket stitch with color B under the needle as shown.

Repeat step 2 but alternating the threads A and B until end.

It looks like closed blanket stitch, isn't it?
Hope you like this stitch tutorial.

Happy stitching!

There is an outer frame so lots more stitching to do in this piece..
Crocheting the final round of the knitted aster doily..

There are more than 600 stitches on the needle and I've knitted 97 rounds. The finish line is so close..am so happy.
Have a wonderful week!

warp n weft

I've always wanted to learn weaving on a loom but it didn't happen until now. I'm so happy that my wish has come true this year. Some of the samples I've made so far..

I've knitted some more rounds and the aster doily looks like this as of now..

Only twelve more rounds to knit so it's so close to the finish line.

Happy stitching!
