Stitch tutorial - Fancy laced running stitch # 2

Another lovely addition to the stitch tutorial series :-) This stitch can be used as a border, neckline,cq seam etc...

Step 1 – Work five non aligned rows of running stitches.

Step 2 – Thread the needle with a second colour and come up under the first stitch of the bottom row as shown.

Step 3 – Pass the needle starting from the bottom row through all the diagonal stitches as shown and pull.

Step 4 – Pass the needle under the previous stitch in the top row and through all the diagonal stitches as shown and pull.

Step 5 - Pass the needle under the previous stitch in the bottom row and through all the diagonal stitches as shown and pull.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until end.

Step 6 - Thread the needle with a third colour and come up under the first stitch of the third row from top as shown.

Repeat steps 3-5 until end.

Hope y'all like this tute. Have a fun weekend!
Happy stitching!

This is slightly different from the Laced Running I did earlier.
Single colour or all colours, each version looks good.

This is beautiful, for a moment I thought it to be the Fancy laced running stitch itself, then realized the difference.
Cool...

It looks very interesting, and I can see lots of variables that would make different designs. Thanks.

Very nice. It combines weaving and embroidery. Clever!
