Today
I'd like to share another lovely stitch tutorial with y'all.
Macramé
stitch looks like Palestrina stitch but they are not the same..
Draw 2
lines a couple of mm apart.
Step 1
– Bring the needle and thread up in the lower line at 'a'.
Step 2
– Go down at 'b',come up at 'c' and pull the thread. A diagonal
stitch is made.
Step 3
– Pass the needle and thread under the diagonal stitch as shown and
pull.
Step 4
– Keeping the loop formed in step 3 to your left pass the needle
and thread under the diagonal stitch again as shown.
Step 5
– Pull the needle so that the second loop sits close to the first
one on the diagonal stitch.
Step 6
– Make another diagonal stitch slightly closer to the first knot as
shown.
Step 7
– The diagonal stitch should look like this.
Step 8
– Repeat steps 3,4 and 5 .
Repeat
steps 6,7 and 8 until end.
Hope
you like this knotted stitch tutorial! Have fun!
Please let me know if there is any particular stitch that you'd like
to learn ....
Happy
stitching!

Neat stitch for some reason I need to try this with beads!
Thanks for the tutorial and good pictures Anita. I will be sure to try this out :)
It has a nice textured look. I think adding beads would be fun. Thanks
Thank for the tute Anita.
I have just started embroidery on another salwar top and was thinking about line stitches for the neck line.
I'll try this one and post pictures soon.
The end result looks beautiful
